New Features and Functionality
- WooCommerce Processing can now be manually released
If a computer fails or reboots or you loose power during an automated WooCommerce update this can leave Orion in a state of limbo. Now you can manually release the WooCommerce processing by using this option on the WooCommerce Menu [M-E-W]. The new label #32 - for the Rollo printer has been added. This label features a QR code instead of a traditional barcode. - New Product Label for Zebra printers
The new label #33 - for Zebra printers has been added. It is the same label as label #23 but excludes the company name and date at the top and all content is shift up. - It is now possible to turn off the House Salesperson
By default Orion includes a "House" salesperson for use when creating Sales Orders. This feature can now be turned off via [S-F7-F3] Invoice/Sales Order Preferences - Ability to remove External ID's from Customers
Orion tracks 3rd party system's External ID's for customers. An example would be Orion's Yellow Hat Web integration. Orion stores the Yellow Hat Web Customer ID as an External ID. These can now be removed from a customer by opening the customer in Customer Management and then selecting [R] External ID's and then using the option to remove an External ID. - Special characters are now removed from card swipes in Gift Card system
Orion has an amazing built in Gift Card issuance and acceptance and tracking system. Some store bought gift cards contain stray characters at the beginning and end of the imbedded gift card number. These characters are not needed by Orion. The gift card configuration form [S-F6-F5] can now be used to specify characters that are to be automatically removed from a swipe.
Improvements to existing Features
- FedEx Integration Updated
FedEx has required that all integrators update their integration to FedEx. This required Orion's optional Integrated Shipping system's FedEx integration to be updated. - Motor State One-Click Drop Shipping
The PO from SO feature of Orion has been enhanced for drop ship purchase orders to be fulfilled by Motor State Distributing. Now you can build a drop ship PO directly from a Sales Order and with one click submit it directly to Motor State for fulfillment. You will immediately receive a confirmation from Motor State that the order has been accepted. The amazing BOM Pop-Up feature of Orion has been further enhanced to give you a detailed breakdown of Cost and Pricing and to also give you the ability to specify your cost basis for Mark Up and Margin calculations. To learn more visit Orion's BOM Pop-Up page. - BOM Cost and Pricing Calculator
The feature you can use to calculate and save the Pricing and Cost for a BOM has been dramatically enhanced to give you a detailed breakdown of price, cost, mark up and margin. You can now also control the cost basis for the Mark Up and Margin calculations. You can control the default cost basis by using the options on [S-K] Kit and BOM Preferences. - BOM Reporting Updated
All BOM reports have been updated. This means that the BOM Menu [M-D] has been updated too. For more information about the new and updated BOM reports please read below. - New and Revised BOM Cost/Pricing Worksheet [M-D-D] Print BOM Cost/Pricing Worksheet
This report now comes in two versions, Standard and Enhanced. On each you can control the cost basis for the report. You can set the defaults for the cost basis and also the defaults for which report to print by going to [S-K] Kit and BOM Preferences. The Enhanced version of this report gives you a detailed breakdown of the pricing, cost, mark up and margin for the selected BOM. - Revised BOM Requisition Sheet [M-D-Q]
This report has been enhanced to report any shortages of needed components. It also include a master picklist that prints as the last page. These enhancements allow you to easy see your stocking status for all BOM components and gives you a consolidated master picklist to work from when pulling components to fulfill the requisition. - Revised Stock Check Components of a Bill [M-D-K]
This is on screen display of the status of a BOM for the proposed construction of a specified number of BOM's. It gives an onscreen breakdown for each BOM components and stocking status. You can also use the features on this form to print a Cost/Pricing Worksheet or a Stock Check report. - Revised BOM Configuration report [M-D-C]
This report now includes lines separating each component of the BOM for improved readability. - Motor State Updates - Date Overflow Issues are now bypassed
Orion has excellent integrations to Motor State Distributing's amazing data services. These integrations are automatic. From time to time a numeric value of gigantic size is erroneously supplied for a data element in one if the daily update files. This has in the past caused the update to fail. Now Orion will be able to recover from these data issues and continue processing the daily updates. - Ability to create new items via Motor State Order Import
Orion integrates to Motor State Distributing's purchasing system. Via this integration Orion is able to create new items when ever new items are encountered via Orion's order import feature. A recent change by Motor State turned off this feature. This feature has now been restored. To learn more about the Motor State order import feature please see this video HERE. - Price on Product Label #5 is now rounded to 2 decimal places
In some cases Orion was printing 3 decimal places. This has been adjusted to just be2 decimal places for price. - The Detailed Sales from Invoices [M-L-F1-I] has been adjusted to break by PLC and Partnumber
Previously this report broke by PLC, Partnumber and Description. This caused what appeared to be duplicates on the report when they were not. - The Inventory Aging Detail Report [M-L-F1-B] has been optimized for speed
