New Features and Functionality
- Pop-Up Message Board
A Message Board is now available. This board can be edited by all users. There is an entry for each day. You can edit the text that appears for a given day. If there is a message for a given day the Message Board will open when Orion is first used on a workstation for a given day. You can edit the Message Board, add messages to dates and review messages by going to [M-4]. The Message Board is a great way for shops to communicate important information to all users for a specific day. Use it to communicate vacations, schedule changes and important events. - Kit Master Sheet
Finally! Strangely enough until now Orion did not have a dedicated report to list kits. Now is does! Here are some special notes on this new report:- Find the new report at [M-L-F1-F12] Kit Master Sheet
- For Kits of pricing type "Calculated" the prices for each price level are calculated when the report is run
- For Kits that have Multiple Choice Items the kit pricing and cost is based upon the "default" choice for each Multiple Choice Item
- Expiration Date for Exempt / Resale ID has been added
You can now specify an optional Expiration Date for Resale ID's. This new field is found next to the existing Resale ID field on the Customer Management form. This is a great tool to help you manage your exemptions to the need to collect sales tax in state where you have economic nexus. You can track expiring Resale ID Expiration Dates or missing dates by using the new report [M-L-F3-F8]
Improvements to existing Features
- Edit Disclaimer on Quotes
You can now edit the disclaimer that appears at the bottom of a Quote. Use [S-F7-F8] to edit the declaimer. As part of adding this new feature [S-F7] Invoice / Sales Order Preferences form has been modified to put the Sales Order and Invoice messages on their own tabs under [S-F7]. - Check Stubs has been enhanced
Orion's excellent check printing capability has been enhanced. The "stubs" for the check now contain a total line at the top that includes the total amount of the check and the number of invoices being paid. Even if there are more invoices being paid than can be printed on the stubs this total line will still reflect the correct grand totals. - Zero On-Hand Inventory has been modified
This feature will now set item's on-hand inventory to ZERO even if the item appears on an open sales order, purchase order or back orders. Prior to this adjustment these items were excluded. This feature is found at [L-K-Z]. Be careful with this feature. There is no way of reversing this action once taken. - Packing List Report now honors suppression settings
You can tell Orion to not print Product Line Codes, Part Numbers and other information on Sales Orders, Invoices and Quotes. Now these settings carry over to Packing Lists too. The text message dialog to include 37 characters in the character count per attachment.
Fixes
- [M-L-F1-F1] - Inventory Price List report has been modified so then when it is exported to Excel it will now export all columns of the report.
