New Features and Functionality

  • Open Backorders can now be printed at the end of a customer invoice
    For every invoice you print you can now configure Orion to print out a listing all of the backorders for the customer being invoiced.  This can be a complete listing of all backorders or it can just be a listing of backorders associated with the Sales Order that generated the Invoice.  This feature can be configured to ASK you every time you print an invoice.  It can ask you if you want to print the backorders.  Or you can configure it to print them every time.  This feature is a great way to communicate to your customers that you do have their backorder and that it has not been lost.  You can configure these options on [S-F7-F4] Printing Options.

  • WooCommerce Integration
    Orion now integrates with WooCommerce.  If you have a WordPress site and you have plugged WooCommerce in to provide an eCommerce and shopping cart solution then our WooCommerce integration is for you.  This optional integration will provide you with the following:

    • Automatically retrieve orders from your website and set them up as Open Sales Orders in Orion.
    • Automatically update your website with shipping tracking data and order status information.
    • Automatically update your website with updated quantity available for items that are listed on your site.

  • Freight can now be Pro-Rated across all items received on a Purchase Order
    If you are interested in managing your Base Cost as a "landed cost" then this new feature is for you!  When receiving items against a PO [M-S-C] you now specify an amount to be prorated over all of the items being received for this specific receiving.  Orion will automatically pro-rate this amount over all of the items being received.  This is a quick and error free way of accounting for landed cost.

Improvements to existing Features

  • TextMagic integration enhanced to support Attachments
    Absolutely amazing!  Orion's already fantastic texting ability just got a shot of nitro with the addition of support for attachments.  Now you can text copies of any document to your customers.  You can text them invoices, quotes, pictures, anything that you can attached as a file that is below the supported size limited specified by your customer's cellphone carrier.

  • Duplicate Item warning for Sales Orders and Quotes
    You can now turn on a warning that will let you know if you try to add an item more than once to these documents.  To set this warning visit [S-F7].
