New Features and Functionality

Ability to print Backorder Ledger from Backorder Maintenance
You can now filter, sort and print the Backorder Maintenance form. All columns on the form are now searchable and sortable. Once you have the backorders selected that you want you can print the filtered list in the sort order that you have established. Functions in the form's dashboard have also been added to reset the form to its standard format to remove any filtering and sorting. This is a fantastic tool to print only the backorders that you want to examine on a report.
Backorder Ledger report has been standardized and enhanced
The Backorder Ledger report and now be printed from any location where backorders are viewed. All sorting and filtering options are available on all views of the Backorder Ledger from any location. New columns have been added to the report:
- PO# from originating sales order
- Salesperson from the originating sales order
- Price Each from the originating sales order
- Current Available Quantity
- Current On-Hand Quantity
Backorder Ledger form has been standardized and enhanced
In every location where the Backorder Ledger is viewable the ledger has been standardized. New columns and features have been added to the ledger:
- New columns have been added to the ledger:
  - PO# from originating sales order
  - Qty Remaining to be filled
  - Current Available Quantity
  - Current On-Hand Quantity
  - Price Each from the originating sales order
- New features have been added to the form's dashboard:
  - Reset Form - Resets the form to the default state
  - Select/Unselect - Used to toggle selection
  - Cancel BO - Used to cancel selected BOs
  - Release Qty Held - Used to release held quantity for selected BOs
  - Print - Prints Backorder Ledger report for currently filtered and sorted form
  - Add to SO - This allow you to add the selected backorder to an open Sales Order or to a New Sales Order
  - View/Edit Original Sales Order - This allows you to open the originating Sales Order for the selected backorder.
Ability to Assign Available Inventory to a Backorder via the Backorder Ledger
Using any Backorder Ledger [L-K-B] and other locations you can now assign available inventory to any open backorder. This allows you to manually fulfill any backorders. This feature allows you to circumvent the "first in first out" FIFO strategy to the automated fulfilment of backorders.
Access to the Backorder Ledger has been added to the Part Number Maintenance form
From the Detailed Information form [L-L-F9] you can now open the Backorder Ledger for the selected item. All of the features of the Backorder Ledger are available from this form but just for the selected item. You can search, sort and print the ledger. You can release and allocate inventory to backorders too. This is an outstanding addition to allow you to focus on managing backorders for just one item.
The ability to "Mass Release" backorder held quantity has been added to the Backorder Ledger
You can now select multiple rows of the Backorder Ledger and do a mass release of held quantity. This is a great to for doing mass maintenance on backorders for a specific item. You can search for the item, select all the rows, release all held quantity and then manually manage the allocation of available inventory.
New Export/Import Format Added
Item Export #5 [M-N-F3] and Item Import #5 [M-N-Q] have been added to the Data Utilities menu. This is a very specialized format for exporting and importing product data.
Ability to Cancel Multiple Backorders at once has been added to Backorder Ledger
You can now select multiple backorders and cancel all selected backorders at once.
RemotePOS System now supports Customer and Product Exports and Imports to update Remotes
As part of the continuing project to enhance Orion's amazing RemotePOS system you can now create incremental product data and customer data exports to keep a "Remote" up to date with the latest changes and additions. These features have been added to the Master and Remote's RemotePOS Menus located at [M-3].
Texting is now possible via hpCommerce Orion!
Orion now integrates to the popular texting service "TextMagic". With a TextMagic subscription you can now send text via Orion. Once you have a TextMagic subscription established you turn on Orion's texting capability via [S-F6-F5] Email / Text Messaging. Once enabled you can send a text from any location in Orion by pressing "Shft-Ctrl-T" and also from the Customer Management form [G] by pressing [X] Send Text. This is an amazing new feature to Orion that has the ability to dramatically accelerate the velocity and reach of communication to your customers.

Improvements to existing Features

"Q" for Quantity Ordered now required for a ZERO Quantity Ordered on Quotes and Sales Order
In a prior release the option to allow a ZERO Quantity Ordered item to be added to Quotes and Sales Orders was added. As a precaution this feature has been updated to require you to use the letter "Q" to specify a ZERO. This feature is designed to prevent a user from accidentally adding an item to an order with a ZERO quantity ordered.
Inventory Audit Worksheet [M-L-F1-F4] has been modified with a new Sort Order and Location Selections
You can now specify a sort order of Normal Stocking Location. If the location sort order is specified then the report will print in Location, PLC and Part Number order. The optional selections for a "Normal Stocking Location Range" have been updated to provide a "pick list" of currently available locations.
Security no longer required for Pick Verification System
If you are a user of the optional Pick Verification System and you would prefer to not have to turn on security to use it that is now an option.
The HP Import [M-N-H] format has been changed to an Excel Format
This popular import has been changed to support the Excel file format. Previously only the CSV file format was supported. This will allow users to use just about any version of Excel to created and edit import files for the [M-N-H] import feature.
The HP Export [M-N-3] format has been changed to XLSX
This export has been updated to export in the Excel format instead of CSV. The benefit of this export format is that now very large files can be exported. This will remove the 69,000 row limitation imposed by some older version of Excel.
Customer Account History [G-F5] has been enhanced
All columns of this form are now searchable and sortable. New columns have been added too:
- PO #
- Job #
- Reference Info

Fixes to Bugs

An issue with the Customer Phone Number lookup feature has been corrected
This feature allows you to type in a ten (10) digit phone number to locate a customer. In some cases this feature would not work depending on the area code of the phone number.
