New Features and Functionality

  • Automatically store AR and Deposits Balance report
    On a monthly basis a PDF copy of [M-L-F4-F4] Customer Deposits and A/R Ledger is automatically saved.  The report is saved in C:\ProgramData\hpCommerce\Reports on the computer that is the hpCommerce Orion server.

  • Automatically store Inventory Valuation report
    On a monthly basis a PDF copy of [M-L-F4-F9] Inventory Valuation Detail is automatically saved. The report is saved in C:\ProgramData\hpCommerce\Reports on the computer that is the hpCommerce Orion server.

  • Receiving Checklist
    A new report called the Receiving Checklist is now available for Purchase Orders.  This report is a blend of a purchase order and receiving report.  This report is available on the open PO listing forms [M-S-A-F3], [M-S-C], [M-S-W], [M-S-S] and is called "Print Checklist".

  • Application System
    A new Application system that allows you to apply application data to parts has been added.  This is very similar to Orion's existing Categorization system.  Access to the Application System Master is via [S-G] Part Application Master.  You can add an Application to a Part by using [L-L-L] on the Part Number eCommerce Maintenance.  The purpose of the Application System is to provide a secondary way of defining how a part can be used.  This data is passed to the Yellow Hat Web integration.


Improvements to existing Features

  • Categorizations now contain a User Definable field
    You can define a label for this field on [S-C-Shft+3] Edit User Defined Field Label.  The user definable field can hold 45 characters of data.

  • Rich Data Export and Import Overhaul
    This valuable data tool has been updated to allow more data elements to be exported and imported.  Below is a summary of the new features and changes:
    • A categorization of up to twenty (20) levels deep can now be specified
    • Excel is now the supported file format for the export and import
    • The new Categorization user definable field is now available to be imported
    • Part Number Description can now be imported
    • When the export is performed via [M-N-4] Export Rich Data File all categorizations for an item are now exported
    • When the import is performed via [M-N-I] Import Rich Data file the import file can have multiple rows for the same Part Number.  This allows multiple Categorizations for an item to be imported in one file.

  • Part Price / Stock Check can now be opened system wide via hot-key
    Shft+Ctrl+D can now be used to open the Part Price / Stock Check from any location in Orion.
