New Features and Functionality

  • Store SKU value via eBay Integration
    You can now configure Orion to automatically store an eBay item's SKU value in a Comment Line directly following the item on a Sales Order.  If you use the SKU field to store information that you want Orion to import as part of the sales order import you can now configure Orion to insert that information into a Comment Line with the item.  To set this setting use [M-E-E-2] Configure eBay Integration to set the "Store SKU as Order Item Comment" to YES.  This comment will then appear on documents in Orion.

  • Integrated Credit Card Processing - Expanded Card Details
    Expanded Card Details are now displayed and editable for stored credit cards when using Orion's integrated credit card processing.  Orion's superb integration to three major processing gateways has been further enhanced by allowing to edit critical card information during the card usage process.  If the customer indicates that the billing address has been updated for a card you can now edit this data on the fly keeping your records up to date and tightening your AVS controls on payment processing.

  • Custom Purchase Order Message per Vendor are now Support
    You can now create a custom purchase order message for a given vendor.  This custom message will appear in place of the standard message that you maintain via [S-F5].  To create custom purchase order messages use [F-P] PO Message.  Use this great new feature to pass along vendor specific instructions to a vendor via PO's.

  • Manufacturer Drop Ship Designation on Sales Orders
    You can now specify if a Sales Order is a "Manufacturer Drop Ship".  By default this is set to NO.  This new setting can be used by manufacturers to specify that the given order is being drop shipped by them on behalf of a customer.  This information is passed to Orion's Integrated Shipping System and will automatically set the Drop Ship designation on the Shipping Rating form.  This would then cause the system's "drop shipping" parameters to kick in as configured by the user.

  • New Product Label "20 - 1.5 x 3.5 Dymo Labelwriter w/qty has been added
    This new label prints the Quantity Shipped when printed from the list of Open Sales Orders [M-G-F6].


Improvements to existing Features


  • Pick Verification System Updates
    Orion's optional Pick Verification System has received multiple updates based on user feedback.  Here is a list:
    • If you are Re-Verifying an order you will receive a warning that the order has been verified one or more times already.
    • You can now cancel out of the PIN verification process.
    • You can now set the default sort order of the Pick Verification Receipt.
    • You can now configure the system to ask for Serial Numbers per scanned item.  Or you can set the system to ask you once all items are scanned.
    • You can now configure the system to suppress the audible warning when an item is misscanned.  In this case you would only receive the visual warning.

  • Packing List - Back Orders can now be Turned Off
    You can now configure the Packing List to not display the Back Order Summary on the list.  This is set via [S-F7-F4] Printing Preferences by setting the "Suppress Backorder Summary on Packing Slip" to YES or NO.

  • Display of PLC on Purchase Orders can be Suppressed
    You can now configure the printing of the PLC on Purchase Orders.  You can set the printing of the PLC via [S-F5] Purchasing Setup by setting the "Print PLC's on POs" to YES, NO or ASK.
