Notes for Release 5.0.05.0

hpCommerce Orion Release Notes

Build 5.0.05.0

Released October 31, 2018

New Features and Functionality

  • Vendor Remit To Label - you can now print and address label for the Remit To Address for a vendor.  Use Vendor Management [F] to access this feature.
  • New Option to Require a PIN for each New Sales Order or Quote.  If this option is turned on Orion will lock after each Sales Order or Quote is closed after creation or editing.  This will require the user to enter their PIN number to resume working in Orion.  When a PIN number is entered the user security profile for the PIN is retrieved and used.  This feature is very similar to what is utilized on POS systems in the food services industry.  To use this feature Orion's Security System must be turned on and every user of Orion must have a Username, Password and PIN assigned.  To turn on this feature navigate to [S-F6-F3] Require PIN to work with Sales Orders and Quotes.
  • California Proposition 65 is now supported - Orion now has support for Prop 65 warnings.  You can specify default Prop 65 Warnings, you can assign these warnings to parts, you can print Prop 65 Warnings on labels and you can utilize this information on an integrated Yellow Hat Web website.  Here are some additional notes:
    • Create default Prop 65 Warnings by using [S-W-P].  This allows you to add warnings to a library and to specify an image for each warning.
    • Add warnings to part numbers.  Do this via [L-L-N-P].  You can pick a warning from the Prop 65 Warnings library or create an adhoc warning with its own image.
    • Print these warnings on the new Prop 65 compliant part label.  This is Part Label #10.  If you need a custom label we can develop one for you for a small fee.
    • These part number warnings will be automatically sent to an integrated Yellow Hat website so that they can display along with the item on the website.

Improvements to existing Features

  • Orion's Price Guide Pro Import feature now supports Motor State's new standard PGP export format.  If you create a product data export from Price Guide Pro online and stick with the default data options then the file that is exported will be importable to Orion via [M-N-P].  This will allow you to export updated product data from PGP that is not part of Motor State's daily stocking feed that Orion integrates to automatically.  This import has been modified to give you granular control over how the exported update file is processed via Orion.

Fixes

  • The AR Balance Report [M-L-F4] no longer shows customer accounts with ZERO balances.
