New Features and Functionality

  • Turbify / Yahoo Small Business eCommerce integration
    Amazing!  Orion's eCommerce and shopping channel integrations continues to expand with this latest support for a Turbify website.  Orion has a rich integration to Turbify.  Orion can import orders, list new products, update products, update pricing, quantity available, automatically build image update files and more.  Orion's new Turbify / Yahoo integration is located a [M-E-O].

  • Freight and Shipping Reports
    About time!  Orion's now has a whole new suite of freight and shipping reports to help you get your arms around your shipping cost and sales.  Visit [M-L-F] Freight Reports to run these new reports:
    • Freight Sales Detail
    • Freight Sales Summary
    • Purchase Order Freight Detail
    • Purchase Order Freight Summary

All of these reports are date driven and give you grand totals too.

  • Item Return Report
    You can now report a list of returned items for a specified period of time.  Use report Item Returns [M-L-F1-3] to specify a period of time and you will see line item detail for any items or services returned during that period of time.

  • Block Emails and Text Messages
    You can now prevent any emails or text messages from being sent to a customer via Orion.  To do this turn on the blocking feature by using [S-F6-F4] Email / Text Messaging Preferences.  Then mark customers as "Mailing List = NO" and this will prevent emails and texts from being sent via Orion.

  • One-Click tool to swap out Non-Stock item for Stocking item on Sales Orders
    WOW!  If you have a non-stock item that has been added to a Sales Order and you want to swap it out for a stocking item then you can now highlight the item on the Sales Order Items form and press [8] Swap Non-Stock Item.  This will open an item search form for you to find the stocking item you want and swap it for the non-stock item.  This power tool is great for orders imported from Orion's eCommerce integrations where you have elected to not make Orion "the truth" for product data.

  • New BOM On-Hand Valuation by Part Components and Labor Components
    Interesting!  If you would like to get an idea of the value by component type, of your on-hand BOM inventory then use this new report to get an assessment.  This report is run via [M-L-F1-4] BOM Inventory Valuation by Component.

Improvements to existing Features

  • System Defaults for Customer and Item Pop-Up Note
    These notes pop up when you select a customer for an order or when you are adding an item to an order of any kind.  You can now format the look of these notes by using [S-F7-F11] POS Pop Up Messages.  You can adjust the font, text color and font size.  If you need to give your pop-up notes more punch then use these features to adjust the system defaults.  To add a new Customer Pop Up Note use [N] on the Customer Management form [G].  To add a new Item Pop Up Note use [F11] on the Part Maintenance form [L-L].

  • HP Import and Export format has been modified
    After twenty-four years we are now making use of those "reserved" columns.  Length, Width and Height have been put into place of the first three reserved columns and MAP Price has been added to the end of the file.  To get a "template" for this import format use Orion's export at [M-N-3] to export an Excel template.  Then you can use [M-N-H] to import this file format.
