New Features and Functionality

  • Orion "Hot-Key" dictionary
    Orion has some amazing "hot-keys" to allow you super handy, direct access to some dynamite features on Orion.  I cannot remember what all of these hot-keys are so we have created a dictionary of these combinations.  If you can just remember [F1-H] this will get you to the Hot Key Dictionary.  Check it out!

Improvements to existing Features

  • You can now filter SOI Log by Un-ordered Items
    This new improvement has been added to the Special Order Item (SOI) log found at [M-G-L] and you can use [U] Show Unordered SOI's.  In a very active SOI log this allows you to quickly identify the items that need to be ordered for fulfillment.  Orion's amazing Special Order Item system can help you to dramatically streamline the fulfillment of items ordered for specific customers or projects.  It gives you powerful, easy to use tools to tie orders together with fulfillment.  For an overview of Orion's Special Order Item system please see our webinar HERE.

  • One-Click SOI Pickup
    Marking an SOI as having been picked up has been dramatically improved.  Not only is there a new streamlined process, there is now a "hot-key" to get you there from anywhere in Orion.  You can now use Shift-Ctrl-S to launch the SOI Item Search form to select an SOI that you want to mark as picked up.  This form is also found at [M-G-S]

  • You can now control how backorders are handled via Orion's BigCommerce integration
    You can now set an option that will turn off Orion's Backorder system when importing BigCommerce orders into Orion.  Use the options on [M-E-B-2]  BigCommerce Configuration to configure these options.

  • Kit and BOM Exports honor component order
    Orion has incredible support for Kitting and Bill of Materials (BOM's).  This includes the ability to export to Excel the contents of Kits and BOM's.  You can in turn import updated or new Kits and BOM's into Orion via an Excel spreadsheet.  These tools are found on [M-N-F1] Export Kits and BOMs and [M-N-N] Import Kits and BOMs.  The exports have been updated to export the component and comment data in the same order as specified in Orion.
